I had the opportunity to design the wedding flowers for a country chic wedding at Big Sky Event Hall in Royse City, Texas. The venue has a beautiful outdoor ceremony location overlooking water.
I designed the wedding arch flowers and assembled them the day of!
A fun touch were the grey “Silver Brunia”. They add a unique texture into a floral bouquet as they contrast the flowers. (Also seen in the bouquets in this “Purple at the Palace” Wedding)
Also included in the bouquets were Ocean Song Roses, which I LOVE and, in my opinion, are the best way to draw in the purple color using roses! A couple other weddings I have included the Ocean Song Rose is in all purple weddings like “Purple at the Palace” and “Shades of Purple” , “May Lovebirds” featuring purple and green, “Shabby Chic” featuring eucalyptus and succulents, “June Hydrangeas” featuring a pretty combination of pastel colors, a jewel toned “Peacock wedding” including feathers!, and “Succulents and Delphinium” which also included many purple flowers as well as succulents in bouquets! As you can see, I REALLY LOVE this rose, and so do my brides!
Besides roses, we included white veronica and white stock flower as line flowers,
as well as some spray roses and lisianthus.
The results was a country chic bouquet perfect for the bride!
The boutonnieres were designed with a combination of flowers (instead of the traditional single rose boutonniere).
The personal flowers looked beautiful on the bridal party!
Wrist corsages, generally worn by mother-of-the-bride, mother-of-the-groom, and any other female attendants, featured pink spray roses and a variety of filler flowers.
Moving onto centerpieces: we had a few different designs. We had a couple small arrangements to be a touch of flowers here and there-these are great for stand alone bar tables, by the guest book, etc..
A few of the other designs are below and included a beautiful, deep purple hydrangea, which was a great contrast to the light colored flowers.
Finally, we had floral lantern centerpieces.
I so love seeing all of the wedding flowers in action and how well they tie into everything the bride planned!
