Alright, so truth be told, orange isn’t my favorite color. Maybe it is because I am an Aggie and “bleeding maroon” has me so ingrained to cringe at the sight of orange.
That being said, when this bride came to me wanting orange and blue flowers for her wedding, it was totally outside my comfort zone. But the more we discussed, searched for ideas & finalized our designs, I fell in love with “orange”. Instead of a bold orange, we opted for more copper-toned orange flowers. I finalized on 3 roses that would were perfect for a subtle hint of orange and creme.
The result was breathtaking.
The bouquets also contained white roses, hydrangeas and wax flowers,
and white carnations dyed navy (also seen in “Wild Love“) to pop against the bridesmaids’ dresses.
Beautiful touches of orange and blue for this October wedding!
Besides bouquets, I designed a floral arch for the altar. The arch flowers were assembled on-site the day of the wedding, and it consisted of orange and white flowers with greenery.
Arches are a beautiful backdrop for the bride and groom during the ceremony!
I am looking forward to using these orange/copper-toned roses in future weddings!
